Greenhouse gas fluxes and their climatic controls from permafrost peatlands undergoing succession after permafrost thaw
https://doi.org/10.5683/SP3/TLGNGB
The data provided in one xlsx file has two tabs: read me, and data. “Read me” contains descriptions of all column headers and data. It provides units of measurement for each. “Data” contains 1,071 net ecosystem exchange (NEE), 1,201 ecosystem respiration (ER), 1,007 gross primary production (GPP), and 960 methane (CH4) flux measurements collected from 2016-2018. It also contains where along two permafrost thaw transects the measurements were taken, the date they were taken, and environmental data (water table, soil temperature, photosynthetically active radiation) measured at the same time as each flux measurement. These flux measurements and corresponding environmental data were used to construct flux models and estimate annual greenhouse gfs balances. (2024-06-11)

Terrestrial dissolved organic carbon in northern permafrost from 2000 – 2022
https://doi.org/10.17043/heffernan-2024-doc-1
This dataset contains dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations and ancillary biogeochemical and environmental data, collected from previously published articles across the circumpolar permafrost north. The dataset highlights patterns in DOC concentrations across 8 different terrestrial ecosystem types, highlights potentially vulnerable areas to DOC mobilization upon permafrost thaw, and assesses an important fraction in constraining uncertainty in the magnitude and location of the permafrost carbon feedback. The dataset was generated after performing a systematic review of publications pertaining to terrestrial DOC concentrations in the top 3 metres of the northern circumpolar permafrost region. It contains 2,276 DOC concentrations collected extracted from 111 peer-reviewed articles published between 2000 and 2022.
